Rooted in Jamaica. Raised on Love. Shared with Southern Utah.

Papa’s Got Jerk was born from a dream shared between Cheryl and her father — known simply and lovingly as “Dad.” Growing up in Jamaica, Cheryl spent her childhood side by side with her dad in the kitchen, learning to season with instinct, cook with soul, and serve others with love. Their passion for food and community sparked the idea to one day share those same flavors with the world.

That dream became real in 2011 when Cheryl and her dad started serving the community, serving up authentic Jamaican dishes at local festivals. What started as a tribute to tradition quickly became a local favorite. After her dad’s passing, Cheryl continued their mission and in 2021, opened the first brick-and-mortar Jamaican restaurant location in St George Utah in his honor. Today, Papa’s Got Jerk is more than a local restaurant — it’s a celebration of heritage, a story told through spice, and a legacy served hot, one plate at a time.
